ABOUT BLOODRAVE
Founded in 2018 by producer/writer Tim Koomen and director David-Jan Bronsgeest, BLOODRAVE develops elevated genre films with a distinctive European voice and international ambition.
After breaking through with the shorts Meet Jimmy, Sexorcism and Mr Lonely, the company gained international recognition with the trans body horror Binary, which screened at IFFR and Fantastic Fest in 2024. That same year, BLOODRAVE completed its debut feature Jimmy for Amazon Prime, which had its North American release last year at Screamfest LA.
Today, BLOODRAVE is building an ambitious slate of genre projects. TINA Town, a queer terror drama, has secured €1.2 million from the Dutch Film Fund and is currently completing financing. Paradise Morbid is a hybrid horror documentary in development, supported by a proof-of-concept short and selected for the Film Fund’s Caleidoscoop scheme (€550.000) for realization: we’re shooting end of this year. The slate also includes Everything There Was, a contained, grounded apocalyptic sci-fi adapted from the novel by Hanna Bervoets, alongside Thirst Trap, a satirical vampire comedy for which we have 75% of the budget in place, and Dormant, a supernatural horror feature based on a short film.

About the Project
A contained, high-concept grounded science-fiction feature based on the bestselling novel Everything There Was by Hanna Bervoets. Told through a non-linear structure and an unreliable narrator, the film explores isolation, memory and the fragile boundaries between civilisation and survival.

A hybrid horror documentary following Frank, an outsider living on the fringes of Amsterdam. Through documentary, fiction and animation, the film uncovers an extraordinary life while revealing the hidden history of a city in constant transformation.
About the Project
Paradise Morbid began during the COVID pandemic, when the BLOODRAVE team met Frank by chance. What started as an unexpected encounter grew into a close friendship and ultimately inspired the proof-of-concept short film Paradise Morbid. Its strong audience response led to the development of this feature-length hybrid documentary.
Blending documentary, fiction and animation, the film explores identity, memory and marginalisation through one remarkable life, while painting an alternative portrait of Amsterdam over several decades.

Longing to escape his conservative upbringing in the Dutch Bible Belt, Gabriel travels to Germany to meet a man he knows only through the internet. At a fun fair, he falls for another young stranger, beginning a passionate romance beneath the dazzling lights that descends into the dark spiral of Tina, which is queer slang for crystal meth.
About the Project
An unapologetically queer terror drama inspired by experiences from the filmmaker’s Amsterdam LGBTQ+ nightlife. TINA Town explores addiction, identity and chosen family through an emotionally intense, visually immersive genre film.
Blending the emotional intimacy of Stranger by the Lake, the hallucinatory visuals of Enter the Void, and the devastating emotional impact of All of Us Strangers, the film offers a contemporary portrait of queer life where desire and destruction become impossible to separate.

Logline
A starving vampire on his way to claim his next victim (a powerful pharmaceutical CEO) becomes trapped inside an elevator with a seemingly harmless janitor. As time runs out and hunger takes over, both men reveal hidden agendas in a satirical horror comedy where nothing is quite what it seems.
About the Project
Thirst Trap is an English-language satirical horror short. Set almost entirely inside a single elevator, the film blends claustrophobic suspense, sharp social satire and escalating twists into a contained genre rollercoaster.
Designed as a proof of concept for a future feature adaptation, Thirst Trap explores themes of dependency, power and the influence of Big Pharma through vampire mythology.

Logline
Keeping his comatose wife hidden inside their home, a grieving man slowly begins rebuilding his life with someone new. But when strange supernatural events suggest his wife is trying to return (not by waking up, but through something far darker) his carefully constructed reality begins to unravel.
About the Project
Dormant is an English-language supernatural horror feature, based on director Niels Bourgonje’s internationally acclaimed short film of the same name. The feature expands its unsettling premise into a psychological ghost story about grief and the terrifying consequences of refusing to let go.
The project marks BLOODRAVE’s first collaboration with Bourgonje, whose shorts have screened at hundreds of international festivals including Screamfest (Los Angeles), Imagine Fantastic Film Festival (Méliès Competition), HollyShorts, London Short Film Festival and Odense International Film Festival, collectively reaching hundreds of festivals worldwide. His upcoming American feature debut, Circles, is currently in post-production

WHY CO-PRODUCE WITH BLOODRAVE?
BLOODRAVE is an Amsterdam-based production company dedicated to genre cinema with international appeal. We develop bold, character-driven horror films that combine strong artistic identities with commercial potential.
As your Dutch co-production partner, we offer far more than local production services. In the Netherlands we bring creative collaboration from the earliest stages of development, extensive experience with public funding, and access to an established network of producers, crew, financiers, post-production companies and international partners. Whether you’re looking for a minority co-producer, financing partner or local production expertise, we help navigate every stage of the process.
The Netherlands has become one of Europe’s most attractive countries for international co-productions. Alongside a highly skilled, English-speaking culture, the country offers world-class post-production facilities, VFX, sound design, virtual production studios and an exceptionally efficient production infrastructure. Diverse locations can be reached within a matter of hours, allowing productions to maximise both time and budget.
One of the biggest advantages is the Netherlands Film Production Incentive, offering a cash rebate of up to 35% on qualifying Dutch production expenditure for feature films, documentaries, animation and high-end series. International majority and minority co-productions are eligible, with applications also possible for post-production activities. Projects benefit from a transparent funding system, a stable co-production environment and the possibility of receiving a 30% advance payment once the production agreement has been signed.
To qualify, feature films require a minimum production budget of €1 million and a minimum eligible Dutch spend of €150,000. Feature-length documentaries require a minimum budget of €250,000 and a Dutch spend of at least €100,000. At least 50% of the financing must be secured at the time of application, making the incentive particularly attractive for projects already bringing together international financing partners.
In addition to financial support, international productions can rely on the Netherlands Film Commission, which assists with location scouting, production planning, research visits, introductions to experienced Dutch producers and access to the country’s extensive creative infrastructure. Together, these advantages make the Netherlands an ideal partner for ambitious international genre productions.
Alongside our work within the Dutch and European film landscape, BLOODRAVE has collaborated with international partners including Amazon Prime, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group. This experience has given us a strong understanding of international production standards, cross-border collaboration and the needs of projects developed for a global market. Through our representation by Zero Gravity Management in Los Angeles, we also maintain an active network within the North American film industry.
