VALUES & WAYS OF WORKING
At BLOODRAVE, we believe that the way a film is made is just as important as the story it tells. As an independent production company, we are committed to creating an environment in which creativity, professionalism and respect go hand in hand.
Our productions are guided by five core principles: artistic integrity, fair collaboration, inclusion, social safety and sustainability. These principles shape the way we develop projects, work with collaborators and build long-term creative relationships.
Artistic Integrity
We are passionate about bold, character-driven genre films that explore complex social and psychological themes. We believe genre cinema has the unique ability to entertain while encouraging audiences to question the world around them.
We strive to give filmmakers the creative freedom to develop distinctive voices and believe that meaningful stories emerge from collaboration, curiosity and trust.
Fair Practice
BLOODRAVE is committed to fair and transparent working relationships. We support the principles of the Dutch Fair Practice Code and aim to provide realistic schedules, clear agreements and fair compensation wherever possible.
As an independent production company, we recognise that every production has its own financial realities. We therefore believe that transparency, open communication and mutual respect are essential throughout every stage of the filmmaking process. For more on Fair Practice, please check out FairPacct.
Diversity & Inclusion
We believe that better stories are created by diverse teams.
We actively encourage collaboration with filmmakers, cast and crew from different backgrounds, cultures, identities and perspectives. Our goal is not to meet quotas, but to create an environment in which talent, creativity and mutual respect are the foundation of every collaboration.
Both on screen and behind the camera, we aim to reflect the diversity of the world around us.
Social Safety
Everyone working on a BLOODRAVE production should feel respected, heard and safe.
We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, intimidation or any other form of inappropriate behaviour. We encourage open communication throughout every production and aim to address concerns respectfully and constructively.
Where appropriate, we follow the principles of the Dutch Mores programme for social safety within the cultural and creative industries and encourage anyone experiencing inappropriate behaviour to make use of the available confidential support structures.
Good Governance
We endorse the principles of the Dutch Governance Code Culture and apply them in a way that reflects the scale and nature of our organisation.
This means working with transparency, accountability and integrity, carefully managing public and private resources, and maintaining clear responsibilities throughout the development and production process.
Sustainability
We recognise that film productions have an environmental impact and are committed to reducing that impact wherever reasonably possible.
Whenever appropriate, we work with sustainability advisors through GreenScreen and aim to make conscious choices regarding transport, materials, catering, waste reduction and production planning. We believe that responsible filmmaking and creative ambition can go hand in hand.
Our CommitmenT.
Whether we are working with first-time filmmakers or internationally established talent, our ambition remains the same: to create challenging, entertaining and emotionally resonant films while fostering an inclusive, professional and sustainable working environment for everyone involved.
